Website design and ecommerce
We have been designing websites for over 10 years. Some of these sites are small marketing websites for local businesses that highlight the quality of service, and the benefits of buying from a local supplier. Others are large websites that offer sophisticated ecommerce facilities including order management, automated emails at every stage of the purchasing and order process.
Some are membership-only websites for businesses or government departments. These allow members to receive additional content to casual visitors - and offer an income stream to the site owners. Other sites integrate closely with office systems and processes - such as helping to run an assessment process that includes assigning projects to personnel, sending email updates, and allowing personnel to upload document against the project.
All these websites are created to the same high standards - both in terms of our own high standards for working with clients, and in relation to recognised web standards.
You can see a selection of client websites below. Other things to consider when it comes to website work, include (click for more):
Some examples
John Merison Building and Maintenance Contractors (JMBMC)
JMBMC are a local building and maintenance firm who work on domestic properties and large commercial jobs - listing major supermarkets amongst their client base.
They required a website that more accurately reflected their commitment to quality work and sustainable methods.
A key requirement was the ability to update the website themselves, and improve search engine performance. A blog with the facility to comment on posts was also needed to increase interactivity.
The European Association for Cancer Research (EACR)
The EACR are a europe-wide membership organisation who's members are involved in advancing cancer research - from basic research to prevention, treatment and care. Their membership is approaching 10,000 and is administered through a website that we created.
The website has public areas - and member-only areas. This latest version of the website is the second that we've created for The EACR.
If you want to discuss how a website like this can help your membership-based organisation - then please get in touch.
Sence Accounting
This growing accountancy practice in the heart of North West Leicestershire wanted their website to more accurately reflect who they are - and who they work with.
Before we started the website re-design we spent time getting to know the business, and their existing brand. Only then did we create the website design - which they loved.
The website also allows Sence Accounting to update the website themselves - which in turn means their clients get fresh, relevant information faster.
Tony Evans Consultants
Tony Evans Consultants is an established training provider in North West Leicestershire. They have been delivering first class accredited and non-accredited management and logistics courses since 1997.
This new website was launched to coincide with the annoucement of new dates for some of their Chartered Management Institute courses.
Along with the website design, a leaflet, business card and banner stand have been produced.
Again, this website runs from a content management system which allows self-updating of the website.
ProPhysio Midlands
ProPhysio Midlands have clinics in Ashby and East Leake. They needed a website that reflected the professional nature of their work and their clinics.
They wanted prospective clients to be able to review the website and get a good understanding of who would be assessing and treating them - before even having to step foot in a clinic, or pick up the phone. They also commissioned us to photograph example treatments at both clinics. These images are used on the website - and will be used in future print literature.
Within a week of going live, the website had generated 3 new client appointments for Darrin and his team - a great example of a small business website.
Ripon Grammar School
Ripon Grammar School saw the work we'd done with other schools and invited us to talk to their Head and Deputy Head about improving their current website.
Again, an important feature was the ability to maintain the pages themselves with minimal assistance from a third party, or an IT department.
The new website has been refreshed once in terms of design - but the original design and development made this a very quick and cost-effective process.
TAQA Professional Development
TAQA Professional Development provides a single, authoritative, expert source of all professional development for practitioners involved in assessment, quality assurance and information, advice and guidance supporting an improvement in quality of provision and service to learners and clients.
The website incorporates discussion forums, complete with email notifications of postings, membership management functions, video webcasts, event booking and chat rooms.
Ashby Willesley Community Primary School
Ashby Willesley Community Primary School needed a new website. Their old one had served its purpose, but now parents were asking for more information - and a website that was easy to use.
Above all, the school wanted to be in control of updating it - so they could amend pages, or entire sections as and when they chose.
To this end, we designed an easy to use content management system - that allows staff from the school to update the content from their school laptops, classroom PCs - or even from home.
We gave training in the use of the system - and it has been very well received by both school and parents.
